Terms of Service - Trench DeFi

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services.
You may not use the Services if prohibited by the laws of your jurisdiction, including restrictions on digital assets, staking, or decentralized finance.
You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of the Services complies with applicable laws.

Non-Custodial Protocol: Trench is a permissionless, non-custodial protocol built on the Solana blockchain. You retain full control of your assets at all times; the protocol never takes custody.
Experimental Technology: The Services are provided "as is" and are subject to ongoing development. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, security, or error-free operation.
No Investment Advice: The Services do not provide investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. Any portfolio allocations, scores, or metrics are for informational and community-governance purposes only.

To interact with the Services, you must connect a compatible Solana wallet.
You are solely responsible for safeguarding your wallet, private keys, and seed phrases. Trench cannot recover lost or compromised credentials.
Actions taken through your wallet will be deemed authorized by you.

Staking & Portfolios: Users may stake TRENCH tokens to activate a "Portfolio," which expresses a hypothetical portfolio strategy. Staking and unstaking are subject to lockup periods and resets as described in protocol documentation.
Rewards & Governance: Rewards are distributed based on algorithmic scoring (Security Clearance).
Frontline Portfolio: The live portfolio is automatically constructed based on Clearance-weighted aggregation of user Dossiers, subject to trading constraints and eligibility rules.

The protocol may charge transaction, contribution, redemption, or other operational fees to support ongoing development and sustainability.
Fees are subject to change and may be updated by governance or administrative processes.
All fee structures are transparent and disclosed through protocol documentation.

Blockchain Risks: Network congestion, forks, or failures may impact transactions.
Smart Contract Risks: Protocol code may contain vulnerabilities that could result in loss of assets.
Market Risks: Digital assets are volatile. You may lose some or all of your holdings.
Regulatory Risks: Laws and regulations governing digital assets are evolving. The Services may be restricted, suspended, or terminated in certain jurisdictions.
You agree that you use the Services at your own risk.

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy of information.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither Trench, the Trench Foundation, the US Corporation operating company, nor their affiliates, directors, employees, or contributors shall be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages;
- Loss of data, funds, reputation, or profits;
- Security breaches or wallet compromises;
- Events beyond our reasonable control.
Total liability shall not exceed the amount of fees paid by you to the protocol in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Trench, the Trench Foundation, the US Corporation operating company, and their affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the Services, violation of these Terms, or violation of any rights of a third party.

All trademarks, logos, and content displayed through the frontend are owned by Trench or its licensors.
Protocol code is open source and governed by its applicable license.

We may suspend or restrict access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, in the event of suspected misuse, security risk, or legal requirement.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

We may update these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on the website with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
